Los Angeles (CA) - MTV had the honor to take the wrap off Microsoft's second generation Xbox. Even if most details including the case design had leaked in the past days, the Xbox 360 made an impressive entry: The hardware specs promise the console to be most capable game console platform to date.

Microsoft had a tough time to keep the secrets surrounding the new Xbox 360 safe for some time now. Several hardware specifications had been rumored for almost a year and turned out to be very accurate and even the case design of the device showed up on the Internet a few days ago. No matter if Microsoft leaked the information intentionally or by accident, it is obvious that the company will launch a serious contender to challenge Sony's dominance in the console market.



Gone is the VCR-like design if the first generation. Instead Microsoft designed a case that is not only pleasing to the eye but offers also innovative features such as LED lighting for each controller.

The hardware features include an IBM PowerPC-based processor with 3 symmetrical cores running at 3.2 GHz each. Each core is capable of 2 threads. Total L2 cache is 1 MByte. The floating point performance of the system is rated at 1 TFLOPs.

ATI delivers the graphic system with a 500 MHz, R520-based, graphics processor that integrates 10 Mbyte of DRAM and is combined with 512 MByte of GDDR3-700 memory. The chip can draw up to 500 million polygons per second and features a pixel fill rate of 16 Gsamples per second.

The storage system consists of a 20 GByte harddrive, a 12x DL DVD drive as well as two slots for Flash memory. The console connects to a maximum of four wireless controllers.

The Xbox 360 will launch this Christmas, most likely in November, with a game line-upo that includes NBA 2K6, Call of Duty 2, Tony Hawk's American Wasteland, Quake 4, Madden NFL 06, Need for Speed Most Wanted, Tiger Woods PGA Tour, Perfect Dark: Zero, Project Gotham Racing 3 and Ghost Recon 3.

Microsoft did not comment on pricing but said that the final price tag will reflect the firm's intention to place the console in every American home. Considering this goal, it is hard to believe that Microsoft will aim at $399 price point as speculated on some websites. Our bet: Microsoft will keep the price at $299.

Xbox 360 Inside & Out

Xbox 360 ini mengingatkan kita kepada Sega Dreamcast—satu lagi putih, modul konsol yg di lancarkan sebelum kedua2 pesaingnya—mmg satu persamaan mudah. 360 ini mmg kena dgn masanya di mana ianya di lancarkan ketika Revolusi & PlayStation 3, tp tidak dapat di katakan lagi persamaan, kelebihan atau kekurangan.

Pertama sekali, kita sedang berkata ttg Microsoft (M$). Sama ada suka atau tidak, company ni mmg byk duit dalam bank (lg byk dr Donald Trump)…sekurang2nya kali terakhir di periksa oleh Game Spot. Kejayaan Xbox original (pertama) menjadikan umum tertanya2 apa yg akan dilakukan oleh M$ seterusnya. Tidak boleh di pandang rendah tarikan & potensi tidak terbatas Xbox Live (walaupun kita kat M’sia ni piracy & takleh Xbox Live). Servis online inila kunci kejayaan M$ pada konsolnya ketika ini & M$ mmg mengatasi pesaing2nya dalam servis online ini yg tidak pernah di tawarkan sebagai servis tambahan & menarik utk para gamers oleh mana2 konsol sebelumnya. Walaupun persamaan antara Dreamcast adalah yg senang di buat (DC konsol 1st leh online), M$ telah membuat persediaan agar perkara yg sama pada DC tidak berulang pada 360. Bukan tidak mungkin nasib 360 akan seperti DC, tp kelihatannya kemungkinan besar 360 tidak akan membuat kesilapan sama seperti DC (mengikut kata diorg).


Hardware, Software, and Services

Sebagai sebuah konsol permainan, Xbox 360 mmg terdapat tarikan pada kedua2 pembangun (developer) game & pemain (gamers). Daripada segi pembangun, pembuat game akan menangani sebuah kunci kepada satu mesin yg akan mencabar mereka pada potensinya. Hardware yg hebat, lengkap dgn kuasa RAM yg tidak dapat di jangka (salah satu kunci apa yg di inginkan pembangun game), adalah satu konsol yg paling byk muslihat penah di cipta.

Sokongan party ketiga semakin kuat pada ketika ini, di mana pembangun game utk Xbox (pertama) datang pada 360 dalam jumlah yg ramai (tak mcm masa mula2 Xbox kuar). M$ sendiri telah memenuhkan suma pembangun game utk memenuhkan ruang2 kosong yg telah terjadi ketika Xbox (pertama), misalnya sokongan pembangun game Jepun, yg akan membantu 360 sama ada dalam atau di luar Jepun (North US & Europe). Akhirnya mempunyai seseorg seperti Peter Moore yg penah bekerja di Sega etika era Dreamcast, amat byk membantu. Bukan hanya dia sebagai “smart guy”, tp pengalamannya di Sega akan di pergunakan dalam usaha M$ mengukuhkan tapaknya utk 360.

Selain ciri2 hardware, servis seperti Xbox Live 2.0 menawarkan pemilik 360 & pembangun sama2 membuka pintu kepada comuniti besar, content yg boleh download (patch misalnya) & microtransaction. Sejauh mana pembangun leh pergi, 360 terdapat pembaharuan dalam dunia gaming. Contents yg boleh di download (misalnya patch) adalah satu style pada generasi gaming sekarang & mmg ianya best (misalnya FM2005). Kelebihan memanjangkan hayat sesebuah game yg kita ada selama 6 bulan atau setahun melalui download content adalah sesuatu yg bernilai, terutama apabila bercakap tentang game seperti Halo (refer thread Halo 2 belah English), di mana para peminat Halo/game2 lain sentiasa inginkan lebih daripada apa yg terdapat dalam satu DVD yg di beli. Concept ini adalah sesuatu yg menarik di cuba oleh pembuat games kerana pada ketika ini, hanya PC games sahaja yg terdapat kelebihan sebegini, itupun pada sesetengah game seperti Football Manager 2005. Xbox & Xbox 360 adalah satu2nya konsol yg berkemampuan dgn ciri content download yg telah di popularkan oleh M$ Game Studio ini dgn game2 lebih menarik seperti Halo. Promosi microtransition juga di huat secara besar2an ketika ini & jika kita mengetahuinya, mmg sukar di tolak tarikannya pada kandungan game ataupun produk di dunia sebenar. Harapnya pembangun game tidak akan begitu tamak menggunakan ciri microtransition utk memanjangkan hayat game mereka (walaupun kemungkinan mereka akan berbuat begitu juga).

Kebanyakan ekskutif M$ sama ada di jawatan rendah atau tinggi, menegaskan kekuatan Xbox 360 adalah pada platform hardware, software & service (sama cam Xbox).

Editor GameSpot telah duduk semeja dgn ekskutif tertinggi M$ utk membincangkan segala aspek ttg Xbox 360. Naib presiden & chief XNA architect J Allard, beserta pegawai chief Xbox Robbie Bach, bereaksi ttg pengajaran daripada Xbox pertama:

Allard mengakui terdapat kesilapan pada Xbox pertama. "We didn't get the controller right," katanya. "The Live experience wasn't that seamless in the dashboard. We didn't future-proof it enough. If there's one frustration that I look back on in terms of that, you know, really rapid-fire entry into the market, I would say we had a lot of seams that showed."

Bach mencelah sentiment Allard, "We've had our ups and downs. [We've] had some things that have gone well [and] some titles that haven't gone well. Japan, you'd say, was a down. North America was an up. Europe was pretty steady. So, I feel like we've done well."

HARDWARE
Kurangkan Hulk, Lebihkan Bruce Lee

M$ telah berusaha keras utk design rekabentuk Xbox 360. Rekabentuk final sebenarnya adalah hasil dari usaha pasukan rekabentuk Microsoft’s in-house, Firma rekabentuk San Francisco & satu lagi firma dari Osaka, Jepun. M$ telah menjalankan kajian ttg warna yg bersesuaian & menjalankan kajian pasaran utk mengetahui apakah sepatutnya rupa konsol generasi akan dating. Kajian terhadap warna itu telah membuat kesimpulan consumer electronics akan menjurus pada putih, perak (silver) & lutsinar (glass), & kaji selidik pasaran pula menunjukkan rekabentuk konsol perlu lebih “organic” & “liar“ daripada Xbox sebelumnya.

Rekabentuk terakhir Xbox 360 semestinya terdapat ciri2 organik, dgn lengkungan lembut & permukaan berkilat. Tray media bewarna chrome & “bulatan cahaya” butang tenaga bewarna hijau telah mencuri tumpuan minda apabila terbayangkan sebuah mesin game yg berkuasa tersembunyi di dalamnya. M$’s J Allard menegaskan pasukan Xbox mahu ianya kelihatan “kurang Hulk, lebihkan Bruce Lee,” & kelihatannya bentuk terakhir konsol berjaya di rekabentuk dgn gabungan kuasa & muslihat seni.

Depan konsol adalah bersih. Selain daripada tray media berwarna krom & butang kuasa seperti yg di nyatakan sebelum ini, mudah utk tidak terperasan tetingkap infrared kecil 7 2 slot memory card. Memandangkan contoller standard Xbox 360 adalah wireless, oleh itu tidak di perlukan controller port di depan, tp terdapat juga 2 port USB 2.0 di panel depan bersembunyi di sebalik pelindung plastic. Di atas konsol terdapat USB 2.0 ketiga, Ethernet port & slot kecil (gum-packet-sized) WiFi adapter. Buat masa ini adapter wireless (Wi-Fi) di jual berasingan. Konsol ini juga boleh di letak menegak atau mendatar seperti PlayStation 2. Xbox terbaru ini jiga boleh ditukar housing utk menvariasikan Xbox 360 utk pengguna yg ingin menukar warna Xbox 360 ini.


Input Devices

Seperti yg di nyatakan, controller Xbox 360 di reka wireless. Controller ini sama seperti Controller S sebelunya, tetapi button putih & hitam telah di pindahkan kepada bahagian belakang (macam R1 & L1 controller PS2). Controller ini lebih seimbang & terdapat penyokong fungsi getaran sepenuhnya. Rechargeable battery pack utk controller juga boleh di dapatkan utk mencaj bateri “lighting fast,” namun terdapat juga option plug kan controller pada konsol menggunakan USB utk “trickle charge” ketika bermain. Di bawah controller terdapat ‘input jack’ yg menerima sebarang standard headset cell phone (hand phone) utk komunikasi suara. Yg paling best, M$ telah confirmkan Xbox 360 boleh di turn off kan menggunakan wireless controller shj selain turn off manual dr butang kuasa konsol.

M$ juga bercadang utk megeluarkan alatan kamera video utk 360 yg membolehkan videoconferencing, termasuk menambah interaksi visual elemen seperti-EyeToy pada games. Apa yg di tawarkan mungkin seperti parlor games seperti video poker chat atau video checkers, tetapi kamera juga membolehkan gamers menambah image sendiri pada games, seperti meletakkan muka anda pada T-shirt ataupun menukar rupa karekter utama (hero) pada rupa diri sendiri.


Dalam masa Xbox 360 akan ada “kamera video tersedia,” kamera itu mungkin berada di pasaran selepas Xbox 360 di lancarkan. Allard memberitahu M$ akan melancarkan kamera itu setelah masa kritikal yg bersesuaian. Ini bermaksud setelah terdapat 5-6 games (yg best) terdapat ciri kamera, barula kamera ini di lancarkan.
"I think it will probably be when we have five or six meaningful games that do interesting things with it. I think that’s the right time to do it. Launch might not be the right time."

Chris Satchell, General Manager XNA di M$ mengatakan USB keyboard boleh di sambung pada 360 melalui port USB 2.0 tetapi utk memasukkan teks sahaja (lebih mudah). Utk gameplay tidak akan ada option guna keyboard.


Storage Media

Kebanyakan industri masih tertanya2 mengenai desas desus media Xbox 360. Antara telahan2 seperti hard drive, DVD atau HD-DVD, ataupun fungsi Media Center & lain2. Ciri2 rekabentuk sekarang adalah removable 20GB hard drive utk save game, file download Xbox Live & penyimpanan imej (pictures), muzik & video (movie). M$ meyakinkan boleh menghasilkan hard disc lebih besar pada masa akan dating sekiranya terdapat permintaan (so kalo korg beli Xbox 360, mintak la kat M$ tambah hard disc). Di sebab hard disc aalah boleh ubah (removable), pemilik 360 boleh memindahkan atau menukar save game & media dgn org lain (atau kwn2). Terdapat jugamemory card 64MB, tetapi seperti Xbox (pertama) kebanyakan pengguna hanya menggunakan utk transfer data kepada Xbox yg lain, bukan sebagai medium save game utama (seperti PS2). Ini kerana pengguna sudah mempunyai hard disc utk save game & download contents.

Xbox 360 terdapat 12x DVD-ROM drive yg boleh membaca Xbox 360 DVD & media format biasa seperti DVD-Video, DVD-ROM, DVD-R/RW, DVD+R/RW, CD-DA, CD-ROM, CD-R, CD-RW, WMA CD, MP3 CD & JPEG Photo CD. Selain itu, file boleh di pindahkan melalui port USB, ataupun melalui keupayaan Media Center extender yg membolehkan streaming media dr Window PC di dalam network (atau connect sendiri) kepada Xbox 360. M$ akan menawarkan aksesori remote control DVD Media Center utk memudahkan akses kepada pilihan kawalan (control option) sistem media player.


Controller Hands-On
Ini berdasarkan report Greg Kasavin (editor ekskutif GameSpot) & beberapa staff GameSpot dalam premiere show MTV’s Xbox 360. Konsol Xbox 360 & controller terdapat dalam upacara ini.

Butang putih & hitam dalam Xbox (pertama) sudah tiada, dig anti dgn buttang di belakang (bahu) controller menjadikannya seperti PlayStation 2 Dual Shock 2 pad. Tp tak la sama sepenuhnya sebab style button trigger bawah Xbox tu masih ada. Jd apabila perlu utk tekan keempat2 button di belakang (bahu), jari tgh akan menekan butang trigger & jari telunjuk akan menekan hitam & putih (yg telah di alih ke belakang) seperti butang R1, R2, L1 & L2 PS2. Tp pada controller Xbox 360 ini telah di namakan LB, LT, RB & RT utk left button, left trigger, right button & right trigger. Triger tu masih anjal & best cam controller Xbox sekarang & button gentian putih & hitam itu juga ringan & respon baik dgn sekali klik.

Processor and Graphics

Seperti namanya Xbox 360, terdapat sesuatu yg tidak di ketahui dalam system ini. 2 di anataranya adalah kos & kesesuaian system sebelumnya. Harga sememangnya & selalunya menjadi penentu di sebabkan hardware yg baru. Cabaran bg pembuat hardware adalah kelebihan menarik pada buatan mereka supaya pengguna lebih selesa membayar utk yg terbaru, konsol terbaik & harga yg tidak akan membuatkan pengeluar jatuh bankrupt. Jika di ikutkan, pembuat hardware selalunya menjual konsol mereka pada harga yg merugikan mereka tetapi mendapat keuntungan daripada penjualan software. Taktik niboleh di katakana balance, & ini mungkin juga bakal terjadi pada Xbox 360 (so lebih baik tunggu harga jatuh (IMG:http://forum.saiyaman.info/style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) ). Suma komponen konsol tidakla murah memandangkan apa yg di ubah & di tanbahkan. Jd ianya menarik utk memerhati bagaimana akan di tentukan harganya.

M$ telah belajar sesuatu dari Xbox (pertama). Utk menentukan kuasa harga & keupayaan konsol, maka mereka perlu memegang semua kepentingan. Seperti yg kita tahu, Intel & Nvidia adalah asas utama Xbox (pertama). M$ mendapati sukar utk mengurangkan kos atau harga dari sethn ke sethn kerana pembekal utama (Intel & Nvidia) mengenakan harga tetap mengikut kontrak (ni gak sebab M$ amik ATi kali ni sebab selisih paham dgn Nvidia). Tp hardware semakin hari semakin maju (sekurang2nya di Nvidia), tp fungsi konsol tetap sama & pd harga hardware oleh pembekal tetap sama mengikut kontrak sedangkan harga hardware itu sudah jatuh utk kos pembekal. Ini merugikan pihak konsol (M$) sebenarnya.

Apabila kerja mereka bentuk utk Xbox 360 di mulakan, M$ mengambil keputusan perlunya mereka mempunyai reka bentuk cip yg sebenar lebih baik membeli chip daripada pembekal. Oleh itu M$ bekerjasama dgn IBM & ATI utk arkitek CPU & cip grafik utk Xbox seterusnya. Memandangkan reka bentuk cip adalah kepunyaan M$, ianya boeh di gantikan dgn cip lain kepunyaan sendiri utk di sesuaikan dgn semiconductor pihak ketiga (misalnya ATI & IBM) tanpa perlu risau hak cipta utk sistem Xbox 360. Selain itu, ianya lebih memudahkan sekiranya M$ ingin mengubah proses pengeluaran yg lebih kecil (seperti daripada 90nm kepada 65nm) utk mengurangkan kos (sebab tu aku suka konsol yg besar; misalnya PS2, daripada yg kecik; misalnya PStwo).


Avoiding Bottlenecks

Jika di lihat dari PC, adalah penting CPU & GPU bersesuaian utk memastikan fungsi sistem berada pada kegunaan maximum yg betul. Jika menggabungkan underpower CPU dgn GPU yg powerful, CPU akan bottleneck performance system & lebihan kuasa GPU akan di bazirkan begitu shj. M$ memutuskan masih awal utk rekabentuk multicore CPU selepas memutuskan superfast single-core CPU bukanla pilihan terbaik memandangkan processor adalah sukar utk di sesuaikan sekiranya sudah tiba masanya utk mengurangkan kos. Perubahan daripada single-core to multicore processing mmg sudah berlaku sekarang di pasaran desktop, memandangkan Intel & AMD baru shj mula memasarkan dual-core processors thn ni.

Xbox 360 akan mempunyai rekabentuk-custom processor IBM yg terdapat 3 processing cores. Setiap satunya berkeupayaan menangani 2 threads, ataupun 2 application berasingan. Jumlah 6 thread berupaya menyalurkan byk kuasa pemprosesan (processing), tetapi ianya menambah kekompleksitian perisian, kerana terpaksa mengawal sumber (resource) antara proses. M$ mmg berpengalaman dalam multithread application & yakin membangunkan processor tidak akan menjadi masalah. Mungkin pembangun (game) terpaksa memikirkan cara yg lebih sesuai utk menggunakan semua thread, tp dgn jumlah thread yg byk akan memberi programmers flexibility. 165-million transistor cip akan beroperasi pada 3.0GHz & dalam keadaan vacuum-sealed, penyejukan-air utk menghalang kepanasan & mengawal penghapusan kepanasan.


The Graphics Processor

M$ akan bekerjasama dgn pemprosesan IBM & advanced 500MHz ATI cip grafik. ATI chip ini akan mempunyai “48-way parallel floating-point dynamically-scheduled shedder pipelines.” PC desktop sekarang ni pun max out cuma 16 pipelines, tp teknologinya mmg tak sama. Cip baru ATI ini akan berasaskan unified shader model yg memproses vertex & pixels melalui multipurpose pipelines. Video card PC sekarang ni mempunyai pipelines yg di buat utk pixel pixel processing ataupun vertex processing. Cip grafik graphic card terbaik ATI sekarang; Radeon X850 XT PE misalnya mempunyai 16-pixel pipelines & 6-vertex pipelines. Masih tidak dapat di ketahui bagaimana kemajuan pipelines yg di majukan utk Xbox 360 ini jika di bandingkan dgn yg lama, tp dgn jumlah 48 ini, generasi berikutnya utk cip ATI sudah pasti tidak akan di nafikan potensinya.

Teknologi yg maju ini membolehkan M$ meninggikan kuasa keperluan visual utk game Xbox 360. Game akan dtg sekurang2nya perlu 720p resolusi HDTV, 5.1 multichannel sound & full 16:9 widescreen aspect ratio (no letterboxing). Games pula perlu sekurang2nya 2x antiliasing utk memperbaiki qualiti imej. Grafik cip juga akan mempunyai 10MB superfast embedded DRAM yg cukup besar utk di muatkan dalam resolusi HD frame buffer with antiliasing.

Sistem memory (RAM) Xbox 360 adalah 512MB di mana di kongsi antara CPU & GPU. Tp grafik akan menggunakan paling byk memory memandang keperluan HD video bermakna pembangun terpaksa menggunakan resolusi lebih tinggi teksture utk memberikan ketelitian yg lebih utk games. Memory yg lebih itu juga membolehkan tahap game lebih tinggi adalah tidak mustahil utk gameplay yg lebih baik. Sound masih di kekalkan pada 5.1 dolby surround, tp memandangkan audio 360 di bgnkan di dalam bentuk perisian (software), Xbox 360 boleh menyokong bunyi tambahan dgn mudah sekiranya games di buat sehingga 6.1 hingga 7.1 channel output.


How Much?

M$ belum menyatakan sama ada Xbox 360 boleh di gunakan utk main game2 utk sisytem Xbox (pertama) sebelumnya. Tp system yg ada sekarang ini sudah cukup berkuasa utk emulate original Xbox (termasuk PS2 & konsol2 lain sebelumnya). Harga & tarikh pelancaran pun masih belum di nyatakan. Bila di Tanya pada M$, mereka menyatakan hint kemungkinan, “worldwide holiday launch”. Pakej yg di tawarkan masih lagi 20GB hard disc, konsol asas & satu wayarless controller. Sistem komponen yg modular juga membolehkan M$ menukar mana2 aksesori sekiranya mereka bercadang utk menjadikannya lebih menarik atau sebagainya. Kemungkinan juga kita akan melihat pakej yg lain selepas M$ mendapat maklum balas dalam rancangannya menjelang E3.

Komen J Allard dalam visi di belakang Xbox 360, skop projek dalam dunia karporat & tenaga kerja manusia.

Proses di belakang Xbox oleh J Allard,. "If you think of Xbox 1 as a painting, we mostly sketched in what we wanted to do. So, in Xenon, what I wanted to do was really set out more like a sculptor would and just marinate in the problem for a little bit...decide what it is, what singular vision we wanted to have to shape."

Tenaga kerja di belakang visi Xbox 360 ini bukanla sesuatu yg boleh di abaikan. J Allard menganggarkan lebih dr 20,000 org telah berusaha utk visi 360 sepenuh masa…& bukan M$ shj, "There are close to 4,000 dev kits out there. You have all the agencies that are doing the branding work and your advertising work. You have manufacturing partners. You got ATI and IBM. All the suppliers for all the components go in there."

Oleh itu. Ketika Xbox (pertama) di pasarkan hujung 2001, byk pembgn terutama dari Jepun begitu skeptical. Tp ketika Xbox 360, keadaan telah berubah di mana mereka telah tampil utk membuat game utk Xbox 360. Keadaan sekarang mmg telah byk berubah ketika dahulu di mana Nintendo begitu menguasai pasaran gaming hanya tinggal sejarah. Kenyataan dari Rockstar utk mengeluarkan siri Grand Theft Auto utk Xbox menunjukkan Xbox telah melahirkan kepercayaan pada komuniti pembangunan terhadap produk ini.

Kebiasaan perniagaan video game adalah utk mencapai ramai org sebyk mungkin. Konsol dgn pengguna berjuta mmg tidak boleh di ketepikan begitu shj. Xbox (pertama) sememangnya telah melahirkan rasa sukacita atau keinginan di kalangan komuniti pembangun sama ada dr segi perkakasan (hardware) & potensi Xbox Live yg menyebabkan mereka bertukar kepada 360 skrg & membuat perniagaan yg lebih bijak. Hardware yg berkuasa, di mana M$ tidak menyembunyikan spec bertujuan utk memberikan pembgn game perasaan developer-friendly sebyk mungkin, memanfaatkan pembgn yg sentiasa inginkan potensi utk memajukan visi mereka. Yg tak tahan tu lagi power dari PC aku tu. Gilo ahh. Malu aku ngan Xbox 360.

** Aku menangis bila terpandang CPU aku. **

Kalo ikut harga PC klon spec camtu mau RM3000-RM4000. Mungkin lebih lagi. Harap2 SONY akan memajukan PS3 pada sama atau lebih spec. Malula SONY asyik konsol low spec je. Aku pun rasa cam tak best nak main PS3 kalo spec jauh tinggal. Sama atau lebih takpe. Kurang jgn.

SONY selalunya menyembunyikan spec konsol diorg & yg selalu di gembur2kan medium media diorg cam PS2 dgn DVD5 & DVD9. PS3 lak ngan BD (BluRay Disc). Harap2 kali ni SONY tak merahsiakn spec PS3 cam PlayStation dahulu supaya aku tak keliru nanti.

M$ ni plak tak segan2 beritahu spec & kongsi teknologi diorg dgn bantuan teknikal pada pembangun game. Tp pada masa yg sama diorg pun amik pengetahuan diorg. Kira konsep "give & take" la. Tp pembangun (terutama) dr Jepun kedekut sikit. Tu yg susah tu.

Tader. Saje je main2. Kalo la BD takleh modded (dalam erti kata lain pirate), susah gak. Ni sebab UMD (utk PSP) pun takleh mod.

Xbox 360 guna HD-DVD (High Definition-DVD). Masih ada harapan modded.

Sony mendedahkan generasi terbaru konsolnya di Electronics Entertainment Expo 2005. Mesin ganas ini menggunakan Cell processor yg berkuasa, cip grafik direka oleh Nvidia & RAM tinggi utk prestasi. Sistem ini juga aalah yg pertama boleh menyokong high-def movie-playback, dgn mengambil kelebihan format Blu-ray Disc.
SONY claims PS3 adalah 35 kali lebih berkuasa dari PS2 secara kasarnya. Sekiranya Mainichi Shimbum betul, gamers terpaksa membayar harga yg besar utk fungsi yg tinggi ini.

Ko mmg nampak aku expert ngan Xbox sebab di kalangan org2 kita mmg tak tau & salah information ngan Xbox ni. Kalo org US ko ckp, diorg mungkin tak kagum sikit pun. Jd kewujudan aku di Malaysia, Asia & forum ni adalah utk membetulkan tanggapan org pada Xbox. Mengikut analisis, Xbox 360 kemungkinan akan di jual pada harga USD300. Kalo convert dalam RM1,139.85.
PS3 pula di anggarkan di jual pada USD465 (cell processor mahal). Kalo convert dalam RM1,766.77.

Tp tu harga belum di tolak cukai. So kalo sampai M'sia mau dekat2 RM2000 kut. Tp tak cecah lg rasanya. PS3 mungkin RM2000 ke atas.

Xbox 360 tak tau lagi tarikh launch. Launch kat m'sia ni samala ngan launch kat Europe. Mengikut M$, Xbox 360 akan launch pada cuti umum seluruh dunia. Aku rasala, cuti musim sejuk kut.

* Aku terpikir gak sebab Xbox 360 guna IBM PowerPC. Kalo dah leh modded Xbox 360, so leh la tambah RAM & overclock processor cam Xbox sekarang. Boleh tahan gak. *

Ni sebenarnya peperangan antara HD-DVD (dual layer) VS Blu-Ray. Kalo korg ungat lagi, dulu jd gak perang camni nagn Toshiba. Masa tu Toshiba nyer VHS vs Beta War SONY nyer. Kalo ikut, Beta War tu mmg superior dari VHS, tp SONY kalah & rugi gila ngan Beta War. Toshiba still rilek lagi.

hehe.."panas" betul thread nih....

kalo ikutkan dr sumber yg bleh dipercayai...kalo dibuat perbandingan dr segi RAW power, PS3 lg power dr XBOX360...tuh dr segi nombor ler...dr segi performance taktau lg ler

lg satu....sony ckp hardware di mungkin bleh berubah bila PS3 launch nanti...ada kemungkinan diorg lower kan spec hardware tuh.
